What to expect from lessons with me

My goal is always to provide a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere to help all my students thrive and grow a true love for music.

Each lesson begins with a warm up to prepare the body and mind for learning. Then I will guide the student through a series of short exercises and provide feedback. Over the course of several weeks, we will analyze and break down 1 or 2 performance pieces in order to learn them thoroughly as well as learn how to learn new music.

Each student will have opportunities to perform in recitals or on camera, depending on the lesson agreement, in order to develop crucial performance skills.

Private Piano

Ages 5+.
Piano is a perfect foundation for learning music theory and developing the mind of a musician. I especially recommend piano lessons for anyone interested in learning vocals or drums.
Private piano rates:
In studio:

In home*:
$48 for 30 minutes
$68 for 1 hour
*Home must have at least a 66-key piano or keyboard available and in good working order.
Private Voice

Ages 12+.
Develop your unique voice through vocal drills, personalized feedback, and progressive repertoire.
Private voice rates:

Private Guitar

Ages 5+
Guitar is an extremely versatile instrument. It suits virtually any genre and is a convenient, portable accompaniment for vocalists.
Students will need to supply their own guitar of appropriate size. Children may need a half- or ¾-size guitar. Ukuleles can also be used for small children.

Private Trumpet

Ages 9+
Supplement school band instruction with private lessons. We can focus on refining tone and technique, rehearsing school-assigned performance pieces, expanding repertoire with genre pieces, or maintaining embouchure during the summer.
